Annihilate the Taboo is an organization dedicated to advocating for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). We intend to eliminate taboos and create a safe space for individuals to access information and resources related to SRHR. We are committed to breaking the silence and stigma surrounding SRHR issues by promoting education, awareness, and access to healthcare services.
Vision
With a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by our target population, we aim to empower them with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. Through our advocacy work, we strive to create a society that embraces and celebrates SRHR as an essential component of overall well-being.

Annihilate the Taboo's journey began in Punjab, where our Founder played a pivotal role in initiating a Self-Help Group for manufacturing Menstrual Hygiene Products. Through collaboration with the government departments and student-run organizations, the project aimed to boost female labor force participation rates while promoting financial and digital literacy among women. By making menstrual hygiene accessible and sustainable, the project empowered menstruators to become catalysts of change within their communities. Additionally, our Founder organized Menstrual Education Sessions for All Genders across government middle and high schools in district Rupnagar, in partnership with Enactus SVC. He also implemented a Good Touch-Bad Touch Awareness Campaign in government primary schools.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Tushar received the esteemed Phil Harvey SRHR Innovation Award from DKT International and the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at the International Conference on Family Planning in November 2022. He also received appreciation letters from the Government of Punjab for his exceptional service record during the COVID-19 pandemic and the Punjab Assembly Elections 2022.

Tushar holds a BA (Honors) degree in Economics from Sri Venkateswara College at the University of Delhi, as well as an MA in Public Administration. He was awarded the prestigious Bayer Scholarship to attend the Summer Institute courses in Data to Policy in Population, Family, and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins University.
Annihilate the Taboo secured funding from DKT International for its pilot project focused on increasing SRHR awareness within the Gig Economy. The project aims to address key objectives such as boosting female labor force participation rates and reducing attrition rates associated with SRHR-related issues. Through targeted interventions and initiatives, we seek to empower individuals in the Gig Economy by equipping them with the knowledge and resources necessary to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.
